Everyone that watches election cycles long enough knows that the only moment that counts in a campaign is Election Day when the ballots have been counted.
Sadly in 2020 it took some states with far fewer ballots than Florida two to three times longer than Florida to count the ballots.
Ironically it took until the exact amount of lead by Trump was established, then a miraculous dump of ballots being delivered around 2-3am that would then be weighted 100 to 1 against Trump(or some similar proximity) and by sunrise, in a state were counting had been stopped, Trump’s lead would have evaporated and he somehow lost.
Whether it was the 3am dumps in Michigan and Georgia, the black scribble signature “match” standard in Nevada, the Zuckerberg boxes in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, or the just in explicable machine errors in Arizona all of these “changes” in these swing states happened for two reasons. At the time these standards and procedures had been “legalized” by the specific states, and Team Trump had little to no one on duty to immediately take people to court with.
Well voter rolls have been cleaned up. Fewer ballots will be circulated to be harvested. Many of the “changes” have now been addressed legally, and deadlines will be enforced, ballots will be counted, Zuckerboxes outlawed, and signatures matched. And if those things don’t happen 10,000 lawyers representing the people’s right to fair elections will spring into action.
You may remember that in 2021, the Democrats tried to steal the gubernatorial election in Virginia. They stopped counting, said they were going home for the night in a specific county (where Youngkin had built up a lead.) Team Youngkin had them before a judge in minutes and that night they stayed until every legal vote was counted.
That’s how this election is going to go.
But there are additional reasons why Trump is winning (shh keep it quiet.)
One of the biggest reasons you know this is because Team Harris is starting to panic. That is the reason Barack Obama has volunteered to spend this coming week in Pennsylvania - a state Harris needs worse than Trump. With Biden having become a bottle of vegetable oil Harris has no “predecessor” to endorse her no voice of authority to say she’s done a good job, and ultimately she has failed to make that case herself. The campaign sees this and once again has asked Obama to suit up and help out.
Panic isn’t the only thing at play. There is also genuine momentum with Trump. This last week multiple stories talking about Trump’s strength in inner city urban communities in places like Detroit and Philadelphia are documenting reality. Trump is far outpacing previous GOP candidates in urban areas. And if that holds, if Donald Trump makes Detroit, Philadelphia, Atlanta close—he wins the respective states in a trouncing. Largely Harris will need to win densely populated Urban areas to topple the growing fervor for Trump in suburban and rural areas. And several things might affect this. Trump’s support is as fiery as it has been since he was in office. He’s converted a ton of “democrats” to the cause (thus even making the argument that his ticket is a “unity” ticket.) And Harris is depressing turnout in her constituencies. (Abortion has not turned into the unifying issue for women, the economy is harder than ever, and she and Walz have blown their chances to inspire.)
And finally there’s Helene. Far from an uplifting shot of her going to the region and having a moment like Obama hugging Chris Cristie in the beach after Sandy she has looked disinterest, uncaring, and out of touch. And that’s how she was viewed before it was revealed that we’ve sent $24 billion to Ukraine, $11 billion to the Middle East, 1.2 billion to Afghanistan, and taken the 1 billion that had been set aside for FEMA and misallocated those monies to illegal migrants.
We’re paying illegals a billion dollars in subsidies for housing and food—when Americans who have not broken the law need them in life-saving urgency.
North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia would have also been horribly impacted even worse had Gov. DeSantis in Florida not stepped up and broken the union’s back and gotten the ports back to work. His move forced communication from the Harris team to demand the ports be opened.
President Trump finished up his week on Saturday by returning to Butler, Pennsylvania. With Elon Musk and JD Vance in tow they saw and felt the intensity for the need and longing by America to turn us towards a different direction. With a crowd size that dwarfed his original rally’s audience in that same field President Trump returned with deeper humility and more quiet commitment to rescuing America from the forces seeking to devour her.
Cleaner elections, the enormous mess we now have, phony and panic from a rudderless Harris, and the commitment of a man who took back the place they tried to kill him at. America is surging with momentum. The votes are being cast. The count will be accountable this go around.
And just maybe…
Our national nightmare of buffoonery and unserious incompetence will be over.
