News Avoidance Syndrome – CNN

  • Those major crimes are not as bad as *checks notes*...mispronouncing someone's name!

To see a classic case of the CNN practice of dodging uncomfortable issues in the name of the venerated Kamala Harris, we give you this exchange delivered by their star pundit, Jim Acosta:

COREY LEWANDOWSKI: Tens of thousands of illegal immigrants with sex offenses and homicide convictions could be loose on the streets, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data. Among those not in detention, there are 425,431 convicted criminals and 222,141 with pending criminal charges. Those include 62,231 convicted of assault, 14,301 convicted of burglary, 56,533 with drug convictions and 13,099 convicted of homicide. An additional 2,521 have kidnapping convictions and 15,811 have sexual assault convictions.

ACOSTA: "It's 'Kamma-la' Harris, why do you guys say, 'Ka-Ma-La'?"

Reporting on the Mirror – CBS NEWS

  • One wonders if this is such a poor move, why is he making it?

The show "60 Minutes" posted an announcement that it is disappointed to report that Donald Trump will not be participating in its traditional pre-election interviews with the presidential candidates.

In its lengthy announcement, you may notice that no reason has been given. Well, when he was asked about his refusal, Trump explained it calmly. When he sat with the show for the last election it was a discussion with Leslie Stahl, and she famously denied the verification of the Hunter Biden laptop, bickering with Trump over its veracity and painting him as a liar on the topic.

Frankly, what is the point in him sitting with them if he is going to be scorched if he does the interview anyway?

DNC PR Firm – THE BULWARK

  • Deflecting from who is in power is the mission statement at this outlet.

Sam Stein is a recent hire at The Bulwark, and he is working diligently to earn his poop deck bona fides with the brass. He thinks he has a real stinger on Trump for going to a fundraiser, after criticizing Kamala Harris for being at a Hollywood fundraiser this weekend, instead of working directly with hurricane relief efforts.

Of course, in order to make his finger-pointing point, Stein has to ignore that Trump already visited the disater region, and he is not currently part of the administration charged with overseeing relief efforts. (His use of "climate-infused" is an added bonus.)

Blue-anon – MSNBC

  • These are people who need to be laughed at. Seriously – you should also point when doing so.

Yesterday, we showed how Nicolle Wallace was so flustered and bent out of shape about the J.D. Vance debate victory that she was left stammering and stating the moderators should have been using vulgarities toward the VP candidate.

Now, we give you Eddie Glaude, who delivers a hysterical rant about Trump threatening violence (the man who had two assassination attempts on his life) and killing children (as the Democratic campaign is cheerleading abortion). Glaude has a meltdown on camera to the extent that Claire McCaskill basically encouraged him to start breathing into a paper bag. This is pure comedy.

Presentation Paradox – MSNBC

  • Did the network layoff the staff vetting their guests?

It has not been a good week for composure at MSNBC. In the latest example, we have Ari Melber who brought on a trio of former Trump administration officials in order to smear their former boss. One of them was Gordon Sondland, former ambassador to the European Union, and he was asked, yes or no about his leaning toward Trump in the upcoming election.

His answer was, shall we say, unexpected:

I’ve now lived four years under the Biden-Harris policies and I have to say that those policies are not only becoming an existential threat to our country's way of life, but to our allies as well. It is a yes, for me. It is an absolute yes for me. That is how badly the Biden-Harris team have prosecuted their job. I am seeing so many attacks on democracy that eclipse January 6th. If the Democrats are able to impose their desired program over the next several years, there will be massive voting irregularities.

Melber's meltdown over this response is a delicious form of entertainment.
