They Don't Even Try to Hide It Anymore

Those on the left want to completely change the face of America. Once, they hid their program. Not any longer.

We’ve all had that experience. We had great plans ahead of us: go work out, go to sleep, sit in pajamas and read. And then the doorbell rings or the phone buzzes: someone comes over. For the next hour we have to behave as the perfect host. So, unless the visitor is a very close friend whom we can either send away or leave to his own devices, we have to pretend that we really, really want this person over right now.

When I go to bed, I have a great deal for which to thank God. Health, family, being an American, living in Jerusalem—if I really put my mind to it, I would not have time to sleep for all of the good for which I should show thanks. One thing for which I am grateful is that the clown John Kerry went to Yale. Harvard may have the Unabomber and various and assorted infamous graduates and faculty members, but at least this one person can be pinned fully on the Yale Bulldogs. Kerry is a fraud and has done enormous damage to the US in the various positions he has held as senator, secretary of state and stealth environmental czar. Churchill famously said in World War I that Admiral John Jellicoe was the only person on either side who could lose the war in an afternoon. Kerry could destroy the United States in one lifetime.

Kerry recently spoke with his pals at the World Economic Forum (WEF). He spoke of how the Democrats needed not just any victory this November but a BIG victory. He posited that if they win big then they can finally take care of that pesky thing known as the First Amendment or Freedom of Speech. Now, in the past, someone who spent his whole career in government would never suggest abrogating the most foundational aspect of the great American project. But not anymore. Kerry wants to do away with free speech because its existence means that people can propagate something terrible named “misinformation.” As we all know, misinformation is not a bald-faced lie like saying that Michael Jackson is still alive or that Joe Biden is actually 53 years old. No, misinformation is a term that relates to all data, terms, ideas, and facts that do not square with the left’s agenda. Biden failed in his attempt to set up a ministry to root out supposed misinformation, disinformation, or malinformation. While he was stopped, Kerry wants to keep the train going. The Europeans already sensor their people and monitor them online; Kerry could not have had a more supportive forum for his musings.

I reluctantly joined Twitter, now X, after Elon Musk purchased it. My kids had been passively using it and said that I should join. I would not have joined without Musk’s ownership and promise that people would be allowed to express themselves without the iron fist of the preceding leadership that shut down any account that dared to share the true story of Hunter Biden’s laptop from The New York Post. They also shared user data freely with the US government and worked with them to shut down accounts that they did not like. To date, I have nearly 300 posts, mostly my articles from Townhall.

I am a biochemist by training. I have a Bachelors magna cum laude from Harvard. I also have a Ph.D. cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. If I wanted to comment on sports, one might say that I was a know-nothing. But when I write about trans here and post the same on X, I can say that I have spent the past 40 years as a biochemist in training and practice. There is no biological basis for trans. People can act, they can take very powerful drugs that radically alter their bodies and they can do surgeries that will permanently scar their bodies. But a man with 30 trillion cells based on XY chromosomes cannot be a woman and vice versa. There is no such thing and my views are based on science, period. But people like Kerry and his ilk would term my writings on the subject as misinformation. As it does not comport with their Official World View, they would say that what I write and say is wrong and must be suppressed. That it is based on scientific observation and data is meaningless. My First Amendment rights under the Kerry program must be abrogated because they don’t fit into the narrative—objective truth be damned. In England, JK Rowling fights the good fight on the subject of women’s rights. There are many who would want her in jail for simply stating the scientific truth about men being unable under any circumstances to become women or “trans women.”

The problem is that the left’s program is directed at every aspect of our national and personal lives: trans, “climate change,” DEI, the border, work, family, wealth, “white guilt”, etc. If Kerry has his way and you dare write something that does not fit into the officially allowed narrative, you might get a visit from plainclothes FBI agents, as has happened to several people of late who posted information that was deemed unacceptable. You might lose your job. If the US and Europe go for the “social credit” scoring of China, you might not be able to jump on a bus or catch a plane. They will accept no opinion except for those that they approve.

In the past, someone like Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama would not have blurted out something as radical as that which Kerry said. They liked to hide their agendas, saying one thing while doing the exact opposite. Kerry is buoyed by a fawning media, a completely supportive WEF and a belief that the millions of new voters they are bringing willy-nilly into the U.S. will make it a slam dunk that they will have power and they will make unacceptable ideas and opinions vanish with the threat of jail, fine, or social punishment. Fortunately, John Kerry has been wrong much of his life (the Abraham Accords were a complete rebuke of his view of the Middle East) and it is my hope that he keeps up his losing streak.

The Founding Fathers had great faith in the capabilities of the citizens of their new republic. They were not interested in censorship; they wanted people to be exposed to the marketplace of ideas and use their own skills and knowledge to determine that which is right. But as more and more of the left’s program—trans, climate change, a completely open border being good for the US—is based on fantasy and not fact, they have no choice but to sensor the facts so that their fantasies will be the last ideas standing. One does not appreciate how important it is for Donald Trump and the Republicans to win. Our mere ability to communicate honestly is on the line in November.
