Legalized Press-titution – USA TODAY

  • It's a fake group, but its backing is totally genuine.

There has been a noticed divergent approach to coverage of official endorsements for the presidential candidates; Kamala Harris receiving backing is touted heavily, and any for Trump are routinely ignored. But this takes a more hilarious turn as a pre-fab police organization has endorsed the completely astroturfed Harris campaign.

The Police Leaders for Community Safety is said to have moved from backing Trump to endorsing Harris. This is a garbage claim given this outfit – consisting of barely a few dozen members and headed by a former campus police chief – was only formed this past June. Yet, here is the press selling this as a valid and pertinent endorsement.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – NUMEROUS OUTLETS

  • Statistics don't lie – but the collection of the data is rather suspect.

The press is heavily covering the story that crime statistics in 2023 went down. This is a rather obvious ploy, given the way it reflects positively on the Harris campaign bid. Of course, there is a niggling detail they are loath to include. As we covered here previously, the FBI installed a new data submission system in recent years and this has made it impossible for numerous police departments to be able to upload their results. When you have major cities such as New York and Los Angeles, along with hundreds of other LEOs across the country failing to provide their crime numbers, unsurprisingly, you experience a drop in crime statistics.

Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – MSNBC / PBS

  • See, as a historian, he is permitted to speak on behalf of former presidents.

Famed documentarian Ken Burns has been a regular on the cable news circuit for the past year. Instead of promoting his shows in a neutral fashion to appeal to a wider audience, he is mostly confined to MSNBC and CNN, where he uses his visits to impugn the character of Republicans, primarily Donald Trump.

Last year, for example, he tried to suggest that Founding Father John Adams would be appalled at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for allegedly withholding information in schools and in the press. Not only was he wrong in describing the actions of DeSantis, but he was rather ignorant in his comparison, given that President Adams had jailed opposition journalists.

Now, Burns arrives to lend his opinion on behalf of other passed past presidents, saying that the Republican Party needs to be reformed and that President Abraham Lincoln would be rolling in his grave if he were to see today's iteration of the party.

DNC PR Firm – THE COURIER NEWSROOM

  • This is almost like a fake news inception taking place.

Last month, we covered extensively the machinations and the money behind an artificial newsgroup operating across the country on behalf of the Democratic Party. The Courier Newsroom is a Democrat-funded outfit that operates a number of artificial news websites designed to appear like local news outlets, delivering favorable stories to Kamala and highly critical pieces on Donald Trump.

Now, we see this project truly coming into play as the Harris Campaign is touting the "articles" from these "news outlets." This means we have a fake journalism network putting out fake news items, then the artificial Harris campaign is falsely selling these as genuine news items, hoping they are shared by the (slightly) more legitimate major news outlets.

News Avoidance Syndrome – AXIOS

Axios has been crunching the numbers and has come up with a curiosity – this campaign, Trump seems to be holding far fewer outdoor rallies than he had in previous campaigns, about one-third as many as he had during his initial run for office in 2016. The outlet looks into a number of factors and concludes that three main reasons could be in play: He's by now a known entity, they are costly, and he is older.

Of course, the fact that he narrowly survived an assassin's attempt on his life at a rally is not considered to be a major contributing factor.
