We Lose This Election If You Fail to Act

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.

The race has tightened up just as we expected it to, and although we’re informed that Brat Summer will last all the way to November 5th, we know that’s not true. But the Democrats are going to have a ton of money, and they’ve got the regime media right behind them. The polls have closed considerably since Crusty O’Daddyshowers got couped into the basement. The good news is that Trump’s numbers in aggregate have not fallen. Democrats have come home, and now comes the fight we have always expected. Now is the time for you to do your part. You. Not anyone else. You.

If you don’t, we lose. Individual involvement will determine the winner, and that means you.

There are three levels for this fight for each of us. There’s the country level, the community level, and the individual level. At the country level, we’re looking at the big picture, not just the presidential race, but also the Senate and the House in the macro. This is where we talk about things like the RNC, which thankfully has gotten its Schiff together after Ronna McDaniel got dumped. I keep hearing a lot of good stuff, publicly and privately, about the RNC. But that’s pretty high-level stuff. That’s big-picture stuff; one person doesn’t do much at the country level.

You have a much better chance of making a difference at the community level. Have you thought about taking a leadership role? Have you considered being a precinct captain or a part of the party hierarchy? In every community, you have state representatives, congressional representatives, and various other local representatives. They all need people to run things. Of course, if you haven’t already started getting involved, you’re probably not going to be doing much at the community level. Nothing says you can’t try. We’re going to need you again in 2026 when these damn communists once again try to turn our country into a skeevy Third World dictatorship like Cuba, Venezuela, or Great Britain.

It’s the individual level where you shine. This is where you have got to commit personally. There’s no substitute for getting out there and doing something. Of course, whether you act or not will probably not determine anything. You’re not going to be the one vote that helps Trump win. Hell, if it’s that close, they will cheat anyway. But we’re talking in aggregate. We’re not talking about just you. We’re talking about everybody reading this and beyond. It’s not just about you. It’s about talking to other people and getting them to do things to save our country.

You’ve got to talk to people in your neighborhood, at your church, at the Trader Joe’s - but avoid the wine aisle because the Chardonnay women there checking out the screw-top $5.99 vintages will probably start literally shaking when you tell them how Kamala is a communist skank. You’re out there talking to people. You’re out there on social media. You’ve got relatives and friends – you’re not one of the JD Vance cat women. You’ve got to spread the word that everybody needs to get a mail-in ballot if that’s what you do in your state, and fill it out for the Republicans and send it in.

Marketers will tell you that there is no better way to get someone’s attention than to have a friend personally reach out and talk to him about a product. In this case, the product is freedom. On November 5, we’re going to have a choice: freedom or tyranny. Your individual mission is to get out there and promote the freedom option.

Talk to people about what’s going on. Point out how you have to sell a pint of blood or some other fluid to buy groceries. Point out the price of gas. Point out we’re on the verge of a whole bunch of new useless wars. And if you’re a veteran, talk about that stolen valor blue falcon scumbag Tim Walz.

Oh, you’ll certainly get pushback. Some people will be very upset that you’re advocating for freedom. Some people have a bizarre investment in becoming a serf – weird as it seems, some people are more comfortable being submissives rather than citizens. But most people aren’t like that. We have a great product, and you’ve got to sell it. And you can. Most people are deeply unsatisfied by the disaster that is the Biden/ Harris administration.  Weirdos not so much, but you know them and you can avoid them. I’m talking about the people who will sit this election out unless you personally activate them. If you personally activate five people, that’s enormous when you look at it in the context of thousands of people, each activating five folks. In 2020, Donald Trump lost the election – allegedly – by just 40,000 or so votes spread across several states. If just the people reading this column each activate five others, we can exponentially exceed that margin. And it’s not that much work. Here’s the message: You get a ballot, you fill it out for the Republicans, and you turn it in. Simple.

Take it to the next step and write a check to your favorite candidate. I wrote a check to Donald Trump. Do you know what it takes to make a cheap bastard like me write a check to a politician? Well, the threat of a communist takeover of our country is a pretty good incentive. But you can also get out there and volunteer. You can make phone calls. You can walk precincts. You can hammer signs. There are a ton of things you can do, and you need to do them.

But what you don’t need to do is complain. There are a bunch of doomers out there who like nothing better than explaining how everything is hopeless, and the Dems are going to steal the election and everything is hopeless and blah blah blah blah blah. These people are never taking action. They are never participating. They are never helping. Their audacious pessimism is just a cover to do nothing. Ignore them and get involved.

Guys, this is our country. You can take a couple of fall weekends and help out. You can write a couple of checks to the Trump campaign and one to the Senate race if you have a big one. If you don’t have a key one in your state, you can write a check to a GOP candidate somewhere else. There are plenty of great guys out there who could use a few bucks to beat their pinko opponent.

But what you can’t do is sit there on the sidelines and complain. I don’t want to hear it. Nobody wants to hear it.

At the very bare minimum, get your ballot and vote early. Don’t wait. Don’t let other people tell you to wait. Tell other people not to wait. There’s literally nothing dumber than somebody waiting for election day to vote. Inevitably, the dog catches fire, or the cat breaks down, and they can’t make it to the polls. Get it done. Bank your vote early to make it happen.

The time for talking has passed. The time for action is here. Put down this iPad, get up, and get involved. You are the difference between winning and losing.
