News Avoidance Syndrome – VARIOUS OUTLETS
Will past reporting ever be mentioned in the current reporting on this issue?
As the Hunter Biden trial is underway, one of the more glaring details involves a particular piece of evidence. In determining the actions of the recidivist First Son, there will be items culled from the infamous MacBook that Hunter abandoned at a computer repair shop. That is to say, the laptop so many news outlets have spent time insisting is not his, is not real, and/or is the product of Russian misinformation has been entered into evidence.
Then we see that the goal-post-moving narratives some other outlets have tried to rest upon — that is, how the contents have become corrupted during chain-of-custody — despite the FBI retaining possession of the laptop since December 2019. An FBI witness in the trial was asked, and she confirmed that the laptop content has not been hacked or otherwise compromised.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – NBC NEWS

The prospect of him doing what Biden is doing sounds dangerous!
At NBC, Dan De Luce writes, without irony, that he spoke with names from the intelligence community who fear a Trump victory could lead to him using the intel community as “weapons of retribution against domestic political opponents.” Huh, we wonder what that might look like, we ask sarcastically.
De Luce spoke with over a dozen former intel officials about these fears. We have to wonder how many of them were also part of the dozens of intel figures who signed the letter attesting the Hunter Biden laptop story was a Russian-fed disinformation campaign.
1/3 Foreign allies, anxious about keeping their intelligence sources safe, already are worried about the implications of a second Trump term and could discreetly scale back how much intelligence they share with their U.S. counterparts https://t.co/V8UoewrJqz via @nbcnews

Low-Octane Gaslighting – MSNBC
Give the host credit; his timing is remaining consistent. (That is to say, not improving, at all.)
Over on Joe Biden’s favorite news program, “Morning Joe,” the namesake host was back at it with his fluffing for the fading president. Ignoring that Special Counsel Robert Hur decided not to pursue a case against Biden because he deemed the man unfit to stand trial, Scar-Joe continued his snow job on the man’s mental acuity, but seems oblivious to the fact that Biden has had a tough week already, between looking enfeebled and sounding deranged during the Time Magazine interview. Joe felt this was the right time to insist that President Silver Alert is “insightful.”
I have spent a good bit of time talking to Kevin McCarthy through the years and hours with Biden in 2024. There is no comparison. Biden is far sharper, more intellectually curious, and far more insightful on global affairs than any House GOP speaker I have met over 30 years.

Biden is so insightful on global affairs that he could not keep Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping straight when he spoke with the reporters from Time, but let Scar-Joe continue, he’s on roll…
Pre-Written Field Reports – NEWSWEEK
In a rather frothy entertainment piece, Newsweek felt it was newsworthy to report that during a concert, Mick Jagger made a caustic, stinging remark about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Sort of.
Ron DeSantis is up there in the suite. He's having a date night with Mickey Mouse. I'm so glad they finally made up.
That’s some biting social satire.
Well, reporter Billie Schwab Dunn thought it might be good to get a quote from the governor, or his office, about the the rocker’s verbal jab, but not in any pressing type of way. The DeSantis communications office was contacted for a comment, but it was made after publication. You know, to be added later, after 97% of the readers will have already consumed the article.
Zero journalistic integrity: got this email today. The article was already out.@Newsweek's standard operating procedure is to publish a story without comment, reach out, and then update later. Presentation Paradox – CNN
Okay, perhaps the intern running the graphics software at night has never heard of him…?
Kaitlan Collins had on former corrupted head of the FBI, James Comey, to comment on…you know, it doesn’t matter what the subject was. Having the disgraced man on for any reason is a case of journalism failure.
But the best is the chyron put up as the shameful and leaking Comey was discussing things.
