Don’t Let Biden Redefine Women

From the campaign trail to the Oval Office, President Joe Biden is continuing to zero in on women’s healthcare. In fact, he just recently signed a 100-million-dollar executive order to advance “women’s health research.”

According to this new executive order, the research will be directed by first lady Jill Biden and, of course, the Biden administration’s newly established “Gender Policy Council,” which is a far-left, radical group of ideologues who promote late-term abortion and advance radical gender ideology throughout the country.

The research will be led by Dr. Carolyn Mazure of Yale University, who is an emphatic proponent of abortion, “gender theory,” and Planned Parenthood. In 2021, she co-authored an article that stated, “What do we mean by sex and gender? Aren’t these terms interchangeable? Perhaps at some point in time, they were used as synonyms, but this is no longer true in science.” She then rattles off the same gender theory that we hear from the LGBTQ community on the daily. Dr. Mazure represents a radical belief about gender that it is merely a form of self-representation, writing that gender is just “assigned at birth” rather than intrinsically part of one’s being.

This comes just weeks after Vice President Kamala Harris visited an abortion clinic. No vice president, or president for that matter, has ever made a visit to a clinic that provides abortion services. Of all the problems that women and girls are facing in Biden’s America, the visit itself was quite telling as to where this administration’s focus lies. And like Biden’s executive order, it wasn’t just tone-deaf; it was abhorrent. Showing up to a Planned Parenthood center, where abortions happen even up to the moment of birth, is part of an extremist agenda that, at its core, has nothing to do with women’s rights or health. The same can be said of Biden’s entire “women’s” agenda.

Today, young girls are asked to share locker rooms and bathrooms with biological men. Men grace the cover of women’s fashion magazines and win women’s beauty pageants. Even the very language that defines us is now changed as women are told that they are no longer mothers, and traditional language is being replaced by terms like “birthing people,” “chest feeders,” and “people who menstruate” because leftist ideologues want us to believe men can now get pregnant, have periods, and breastfeed!

We shouldn’t be surprised. During President Biden’s first day in office, he made his priorities clear, signing an executive order on “Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation,” which widened the definition of biological sex to include gender identity. Shortly after, Biden nominated a transgender man as the Assistant Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Later that year, this person was promoted to the rank of Admiral and hailed as “the first female four-star admiral” in the history of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. Stories like this became an ongoing theme for Biden. More recently, he went on to host and celebrate Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender man parading as a woman at the White House.

If the Biden administration’s goal is to support women, it’s difficult to see exactly how they do. We’re just three years into his presidency, and an agenda that’s very anti-women is hard to miss.

As a woman and a mother of four girls, I wholeheartedly support innovation and advancement of women’s health, but I have a sincere problem when the same people who tell me that men can get pregnant are the people receiving $100 million to research women’s health issues. I have a problem with an administration that appoints a transgender man as the assistant secretary for HHS. I have a problem when the Biden administration argues that it is fair and just when a biological man competes in girls’ sports.

Women in this country deserve an administration that truly celebrates the beauty and femininity of true womanhood and understands the real problems facing American women today. Healthcare should be put back in the hands of the American people and not in the hands of bureaucrats who want socialized medicine.

The real question we must ask ourselves as women is, will we let this administration fool us into allowing a second term of America-last, woman-last policies? Will we allow our daughters to be subjected to men in their bathrooms or locker rooms? Will we allow this leftist administration to redefine what a woman is? Will we allow men to parade as women to be role models for our children?

The anti-women agenda they’re promoting cannot be normalized. We must stop standing by on the sidelines. Let’s rally together and demand that our government protect women in this country. Let’s ensure that today, and for generations to come, our country remains a safe and fair place for all our daughters.
