First Amendment Strike Force – THE DOJ / THE BLAZE

  • "Turn yourself in, we'll get around to detailing your charges at our convenience."

It remains astounding that the press pretends that former President Donald Trump presents a potential danger of overstepping his authority if reelected, while President Joe Biden is in practice of such right now.

In an absolutely deplorable display of authoritarianism from the Biden administration, journalist Steve Baker of The Blaze has been ordered by the FBI to turn himself in to authorities, who will then transport him to a courthouse to meet his lawyer and then face charges. There are two disturbing details, to go along with this intimidation of a journalist:

  1. Baker is being made to go through this detainment despite facing a warrant concerning misdemeanor(s).

  2. The FBI has not informed Baker nor his lawyers of the charges he will be facing.

It seems apparent he is being targeted over his past coverage of the administration, but as far as what they want to hang on him, this is a despicable mystery.

Matching Media Memorandum – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • The troubled child upsetting the angelic leader.

Hunter Biden is finally meeting with Congress behind closed doors, fulfilling the deposition order he has been skirting for months. The media reaction to this, before a single line of transcript has been released, is notably non-neutral.

  • CNN – Issuing a defiant message ahead of hours of interrogation.

  • MSNBC – A complete waste of time.

  • DAILY BEAST – Joe Biden's only surviving son is now preparing to be more vocal and aggressive in shaping his own narrative and responding to GOP attacks.

  • ASSOCIATED PRESS – Hunter Biden’s years of personal grief and public missteps are focus of House impeachment probe.

Race to the Bottom – MIAMI HERALD

The city leaders of Miami Beach are looking to take steps to curtail what has been, over the years, weeks of massive crowds and all manner of illegal activity during the Spring Break rush on South Beach. At the Miami Herald, Columnist Fabiola Santiago sees a deeply racist practice behind this attempt by the authorities: Closing public parking garages is a deeply racist practice!

Setting up DUI checkpoints to keep people from drinking and driving is valid. Maintaining a strong police presence, as is done during other large-scale events — valid. Placing a curfew and limiting drinking hours, after shooting and violence break out — valid. But pricing out parking or closing public garages during two weekends that attract Black and brown people is discriminatory.

Making this even better (read: more ridiculous) is that she thinks referencing the "white" Spring Breakers allowed to run crazy in Ft. Lauderdale proves the racism – except decades back, the city's leaders enforced similar restrictions and chased off those students to go party in other cities.

First Amendment Strike Force – CBS NEWS

  • What would they win if they supported the 1A?

The Radio Television Digital News Association has announced its honorees for its 2024 First Amendment Awards. One of the names to be recognized is the President of CBS News, Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews. The hilarity is she was the network official who called for Catherine Herridge to be fired weeks ago, and then confiscated the journalist's personal documents and computer files.

Gilded Reframe – SEMAFOR

Writing at Semafor, Reed Albergotti covered that at Google, a recent address from the CEO was about the complete fiasco that was the notably racist platform discovered on the company's AI image program.

Albergotti, in providing the background on what took place, had this by way of an explanation:

The controversy spiraled when Gemini was found to be creating questionable text responses, such as equating Elon Musk’s influence on society with Adolf Hitler’s. Those comments drew sharp criticisms, especially from conservatives, who accused Google of an anti-white bias.

Another way of putting that: It was unfortunate the program proved conservatives correct concerning their criticism of the company all this time.
