Sitting here in God’s waiting room, many numbers are bouncing off the walls. These are big numbers, in the millions. They beg the question, what do they all mean?
Get out your Big Chief tablet and a lead pencil as we are going to go to school.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the most significant number floating around is 6,777,807. That represents the number of illegals who have entered our country since 2020. They came from around the world and flowed across our Texas – Mexico border. With them came pounds and pounds of drugs, millions of fentanyl pills, and we do not know how many Cartel members, murderers, child sex offenders, and others with criminal intent on their minds.
As well, our Canadian border has been hemorrhaging. We do not see much about it on the news for some reason.
6,770,807. It is a huge number that is difficult for most of us to comprehend. Let us strive to put the 6.7 million amount into comparative numbers with something easy to understand.

First, do a little research and find out the population of some of our smallest states. Those with populations under 1 million people are Wyoming, Vermont, the District of Columbia, Alaska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Wyoming has the smallest population of 576,837, and Delaware is the largest among those with under 1 million people, with 989,957.
Combining the population of our five smallest states plus the District of Columbia, we came up with a figure of 5,298,571.
On your Big Chief tablet, write 6,770,807 and subtract from it 5,298,571. Using old-school math, the answer is 1,479,236. That number represents the number of illegals who have entered the United States, equaling more than the population of our six smaller states combined.
Let that soak in for a minute.
Next, write down 1,084,197. That is the population of Montana, our first state with more than one million people.
Subtract Montana from your previous number of 1,479,236, and you will discover 395,039 more illegals in the US than our seven smallest states, combined
Are you starting to get the picture? We now have the equivalent of seven new states’ population, comprised solely of illegals living in the USA.
Your tax dollars are feeding, housing, and providing medical care for the illegal people living in our seven new states. Can you imagine the size of the bill being handed to you, your children, and your grandchildren.? How many poor US families would it feed? How many of our veterans could receive the services they need and are currently denied? How many bridges and miles of our Interstates could be repaired and brought up to date? This list goes on and on.
These 6.7 million new people are costing us millions, if not billions, of dollars, and they have put an enormous load on our cities. Add in the increased number of homeless on the street, and it is a disaster we have never faced.
America has always been the destination for people worldwide seeking a better life. 99.9 percent of you reading this have roots in places across the sea. We have welcomed people to come here with open arms, legally.
In the beginning, new arrivals had to learn to speak English. Children learned English in small county schools and then went home at night to pass their new knowledge along to their parents. The US does not have an official language. However, the most commonly used language is English. Our country has 350 different languages, either spoken or signed. We do have some states that have adopted an official language.
We do not have an official language in Texas. Unlike other states, we have what is labeled “Texan English.” Some linguists refer to it as a Southern accent with a twist.
For nearly 250 years, the USA has had a border immigrant control system that, with a minor hiccup now and then, has worked well. Immigrants were screened carefully, appropriately processed, and kept track of until they became citizens or their visit time expired.
For some reason, in 2020, that system suffered tremendous destruction. Six million seven hundred seventy-seven thousand eight hundred seven illegals have flooded in since.
A call to the White House returned the message, “The border was closed.”
Hmm?
