Blue-Anon – MSNBC
- That is a dastardly campaign platform for the Republicans to run on!
Over at MSNBC, the "Democracy Dies Next Week" programming schedule continues, and there may be no better exemplar of this fear-based hysteria than seen last night on "All In With Chris Hayes." Alleged historian and proven fabler Michael Beschloss was on and intoning all the dread we are facing on Tuesday in the election. The list of promised foreboding results is impressive.
As @MSNBC leans heavily on a loss of democracy next week, none can top the melodramatics of @BeschlossDC with @ChrislHayes.

We will lose democracy, also historians, publishing, and our children can be rounded up and arrested or even killed. (Why?!)
Hell of a GOP platform, that. pic.twitter.com/uhpdr4HW8V
Just a recap, we supposedly face – the end of democracy, election fraud, loss of rule of law, violence, historians silenced, loss of a free press, brutal authoritarian rule, and children arrested and even killed. (I missed that last proposal by any candidate, I must admit.)

What these hysterical claims all fail to explain is that if the GOP is so obviously running on these policies, how is it that in every poll, they are smoking the Democrats?! This is the level of logic applied by these same minds telling their audience that people being free to express their right to vote for Republicans will lead to the loss of the right to vote for who they choose.
But for an indicator of how little they are swaying minds, just check out the dour presence of the host ahead of this segment and tell us exactly who is being swayed by these melodramatics.
This is surely the face that will inspire passion in Democrats to get out to the polls! pic.twitter.com/r2A9pixnZe

Both Kinds of Standards – WASHINGTON POST
- The call for evidence is a conspiracy? Really?!
The Paul Pelosi attack continues to be a vexing issue for the press. The desire to protect the man and demonize Republicans has raised nothing but more questions about the matter. Had this matter been treated as a case of a local homeless man attacking him, the story likely would be fading from the news cycle by now. The desire to make it into a political hit elevates it to a national story that is now not going away.
In an attempt to deal with this reality, Philip Bump tries to say that those asking for police footage from the home during the attack are only stoking the desires of conspiracy theorists. That is –you cannot release proof as that is now a conspiracy. Then Bump invalidates himself.
- "Release the video of the responding police officers! What are you hiding?! Because this is how the conspiracy theory continues to ooze forward. There's always some information out there being suspiciously hidden that will prove the conspiracy theory correct. If that information is suppressed, it reinforces the conspiracy theory."
Uh-huh, and if you release evidence, you no longer have a conspiracy, you have proof. But understand what is happening: Here is a columnist demanding that police should not release evidence – that is, working against transparency – at the paper whose masthead declares, "Democracy Dies In The Darkness."
‘Release the video’ is mostly a way to extend the conspiracy theory https://t.co/q7vl2a6WRs

Anti-Social Media – TWITTER
- Getting the truth out is a threat to democracy, we are led to believe.
Sawyer Hacket is a Democratic operative with his fingers dipped in a lot of different pudding. Let's just say he is a liberal hack. Sawyer was DEEPLY upset with the reality that the White House had been fact-checked on Twitter over the asinine claim that Jose Biden had raised Social Security payments to the highest level in a decade.
The White House has been “fact checked” by Twitter with mundane nuances at least three times since Elon Musk took over.

A right-wing filter on a giant communications platform—what could go wrong? pic.twitter.com/BY7zqStlTC
The hilarity comes in waves. He is mad that the facts were exposed. How about that! Also, what he claims to be a right-wing tool on Twitter is something created years ago by Jack Dorsey, so he is actually mad at seeing a left-wing tool being used in an equal manner. Then you have to wonder just how right-wing the Dem sympathizers at PolitiFact must be, as they also called out the president and the White House on this BS claim.
DNC PR Firm – 'THE LATE SHOW'
Senator Elizabeth Warren made an appearance on the unbiased and neutral entertainment program "The Late Show." During the throne-sniffing segment, Sen. Warren was softballed with questions about her dog's Halloween costume before moving to the portion where they encouraged people to vote on Tuesday, with her being granted the chance to list off why the audience should support her side.
We fell asleep, so we missed the segment with Senator Ted Cruz raving about the reasons to vote for Republicans. That did happen, correct…?
In case you missed it on #Colbert: Senator @ewarren stopped by and gave us all the reasons to #vote!

Plus, former Secretary of Energy @ErnestMoniz discussed geopolitics and the threat of tactical nuclear weapons.

Artesanal-Crafted Narratives – THE UNITED NATIONS (???)
- This show of limited concern is heartwarming.
In a post from the United Nations Entity of Equity and Inclusion or something like that, it expressed some support for journalists and pleaded for ending the killing of journalists. But not all journalists, mind you – just the females, who comprise about 10% of the murdered journalists across the globe.
Of all journalists killed in 2021, 11% were women. In 2020, this was 6%. (Source: @UNESCO)
