Let the Left Own the Weirdos

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.

The Democrats are always fronting that they are somehow on the side of the oppressed, the victimized, and/or the powerless. Except the people they are backing are none of those things. Rather, they are the oppressors in the culture war and there’s this weird undercurrent in many of them about trying to creep on your kids. Let the Democrats be the party of the perverts, but don’t let them get away with pretending that their wallowing in the sewer is really standing on the moral high ground.

Yeah, my retirement funds have taken a big hit this year. Luckily, I’ve got some time to recover, but millions and millions of older people who did everything right are getting screwed. They won’t be able to retire, and soon they won’t be able to eat. Everything is getting worse – right in time for the 2022 elections.

I don’t want to pee in anyone’s Moscow mule, but I’m not about to write the Russians off just yet. My bias is clear. I deployed with Ukrainians and trained them in Ukraine, and while I am clear-eyed about the massive corruption of that beleaguered nation, there’s no excuse for invading it and killing their people. They have a right to fight, and I expected they would, but people are counting out the Bear and that could be a big mistake.

The Underdogs Are Actually Creepy Perverts

Okay, all the drag queens and pink-haired teachers and other freaks are not the good guys in this morality play. Movies like “Revenge of the Nerds” – which is hilarious – argue that the outsider and the socially unloved can be the heroes too. That’s fine if you are talking about some dorks with slide rules trying to score with sorority girls. But the outcasts here are largely grown men trying to maneuver themselves into a close encounter of the third-grade kind, and the women with daddy issues trying to facilitate that grossness.

They are the villains, and yet the Democrats are not distancing themselves from Team Toddler Curious. They can’t. They are trapped by their own ideology of transgression.

Everywhere the left is stuck saying “Yes” to what any sane person says “No” to. Take the exploding milk porn teacher, though he/she/zit is actually in Canada – as Canada goes, so next do New York and Cali. This scumbag with the thorax grocery bags is walking around in a classroom and the liberal administration cannot bring itself to say, “No, you can’t dress as a bizarre fetish porn character in our classrooms. You’re fired.”

Any sane person would do that, but by refusing to push back on any demand by any weirdo with an agenda and a gripe, the Democrats are trapped. They cannot say “No."

They must roll down the slippery slope with the unstoppable momentum of Ana Navarro after she loses her footing grasping for a danish.

You ask why Latinx (sp) Americans are fleeing the Democrats, but you need not. Yeah, the economy is bad and they hate that. Yeah, the socialist crap the Democrats promote reminds them of the homelands they and/or their families left. But it’s this perverted weirdness that really alienates Hispanic Americans. The Democrats have embraced a pathology that infects only academics, activists, and sexually unsatisfied middle aged wine women. Everyone else sees it, and everyone else rejects it.

Keep pushing on the perversions, people.

The Perfect Storm of Failure Is Approaching

Leaving aside the bizarre sexual perversions of the left, the chickens are coming home to roost in other ways right before the midterms. Let’s start with the economy, and particularly inflation. Remember how President Crusty was so excited that the prices he doubled had dropped 10 percent? Well, even that brief relief is going away as the Strategic Petroleum Reserve empties out. Gas prices are back where they were here in California, and if they aren’t where you are they will be. Inflation is setting records and people are getting squeezed. The regime media ignores or excuses it. Mom with the shopping list can’t.

Then there’s the market. People like us worked for decades to build a retirement, and we watch huge chunks of it vanish every day. Think about the folks on fixed incomes. They are getting slaughtered. The regime media either ignores or excuses this too – say, what is the effective date where Grandpa Badfinger takes over responsibility for the economy from President Trump? – but normal people see it. Gee, lucky for the Democrats who have an election coming up in November that nothing bad ever happens to the stock market in October!

The fundamentals are getting worse for the Democrats. Today, right now, I anticipate a total blue rout. But the Republicans can still blow it, and no one is better at it than them.

Not Getting My Hopes Up Over Russia

I hope the Ukrainians drive out the invaders. I have concerns over the amount of money we are giving them, but that’s my bias. I think the Russians should have worked out their issues peacefully. I also think that the US failure to turn Russia into, if not an ally then a cooperating partner after the Wall fell, may be nearly as great a US foreign policy failure as the Iraq War.

The Ukrainians have gone on the offensive and thrown the Russians back, causing Putin to initiate a massive mobilization. I have no knowledge, but I have my suspicions, about who is doing much of the planning and staff work for the successful offensive. The Russians seem to have really been put on the back foot.

Well, we’re just lucky that history has no examples of the Russians suffering devastating defeats early in a war only to come back and defeat their enemy.

Oh, wait.

I am just saying that you should look on everything coming out of Ukraine with a jaundiced eye. There is a massive information warfare component to this struggle – remember the Ghost of Kyiv? – and when we are told something we want to believe, that is the time to not believe a word of what we are hearing. I do not know how this war ends – there are a number of plausible outcomes and probably more we cannot yet imagine – but do not think that this fight is over and that one side has prevailed. Nothing is over – I fear the real killing has only just begun.
