Real America: The Stadium Tour

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.

It’s happening everywhere.  Real America is fed up and they’re telling those “in power” in not so subtle, or gentle ways. The chants of “F-Joe Biden” are erupting in stadium venues, concerts, and raceways from coast to coast. It’s organic, it’s real, and it's scaring the hell out of the elite who desperately hoped they could keep it muzzled.

Perhaps the most crystallizing and emblematic event to illustrate just what’s happening was seen at Talladega’s NASCAR track at the conclusion of last week’s race. The winner of the weekend was a first time champion named Brandon Brown. At the conclusion of the race, NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast conducted an interview with Brown from the track.

Within earshot and just beyond the picture viewers were watching at home, dozens of NASCAR fans began loudly chanting the now familiar refrain that’s busting out in massive crowds in public venues all over the country. “F**k Joe Biden!” Stavast did her best to elevate her voice over the chanting. Brown did his part to focus on his win and ignore it, too. But it was loud and very obvious what you were hearing if you were watching.

Then, in what can only be described as Olympic-level gaslighting – reporter Kelli Stavast did they only thing she could do to deal with the hostile chants directed at the pretend President of the United States.  She told the viewers what they were hearing wasn’t what they were hearing at all.

“As you can hear the chants from the crowd, “”Let’s go, Brandon!” exclaimed Stavis.

And just like that Kelli Stavast became a meme-worthy punch line for the ages.  “Let’s go, Brandon?!”  Was she serious?  Hard to know, but it was so embarrassingly bad even Brown took to Twitter and posted the next day, “Let’s go, Brandon.  Not political, just feeling myself.”

If you’re a social media user perhaps you saw the viral picture of the 30-something “average American guys” who’d shown up in Washington D.C. to rally in support of the January 6th prisoners still being held without charges. As you know by now it was an event media built to be “Insurrection Day 2!”  What it wound up being was a non-even of mostly media and groups of men caught in the now iconic photo looking like the central casting call for Top Gun in the 1980s.

We are all well aware the FBI has been infiltrating and in some cases stoking bad behavior within conservative marches and meetings.  These unindicted co-conspirators try to blend in to study the “dangerous terrorist movements” of average American voters like you and me. Of course, these dopes stick out like sore thumbs as they’re all in Ray-Ban sunglasses and form fitting tee shirts showing off their time at the gym.  A picture of these goofs is now commonly used as yet another Internet meme by the very people they’re supposed to intimidate.

When Attorney General Merrick Garland announced this week he indented to dispatch the FBI to school board meetings around the country since you parents are really fouling up the feds plans to teach public school kids to hate the country - up popped a doctored picture of the aforementioned Top Gun cast superimposed to look like they were hanging out in their sunglasses and t-shirts trying to blend in at a PTA meeting in a school.

The audacity of the Department of Justice sending storm troopers into our communities to police how voters address local school boards is one of the more outrageous things you can imagine a government of the United States imposing on its citizens. Yet, there really wasn’t outrage. There was laughter. Mocking. Memes.  More “F**k Joe Biden” chanting.

When Fauci says he’s not sure he can allow us to have Christmas, we tell the little troll just what he can do with his thoughts about how we spend our holiday.  We’re not clutching masks waiting for his permission a day longer. We’re calling for his professional head today. His boss announced he’s bailing this week. It’s a start.

The point is America is getting its swagger back. Independent of party or race, it should be noted.  When the co-founder of Black Lives Matter New York refused to be turned away from a restaurant because she wouldn’t produce her vaccine papers, she promised she’d bring George Floyd-level protests to New York City.  She reminded Democrats well over 70% of young-to-middle-aged blacks in New York have chosen not to get the shot. That’s an awful lot of black folks to be told they’re unwelcome in their own town.

Funny thing, black Americans don’t like being told they can’t eat or drink or ride public transit if the government doesn’t feel like letting them over a shot they don’t want to take.  It feels very familiar to them and it should.  Democrats have a very recent history of telling blacks where they’re allowed to eat, sit, and ride. Democrats are doing it to black America again. Pop stars like Nicki Minaj and NBA stars like LeBron James must grudgingly admit it, too. The government isn’t their friend and doesn’t mean them well.

Those in power at all levels are losing their grip and they’re getting scared.  The media that’s covered and lied for them know they can't keep it up any longer either. The dam is breaking. The American people won’t bow to them and aren’t frightened of them. These public servants will be mocked and brought to heal by an electorate tired of being kicked around and mistreated.

The chants will grow louder. The laughter at their empty threats will grow louder. Americans are waking up to take their country back and they’re coming to a stadium near you.  Let’s go, Brandon!
