Pro-LGBT Messaging Bombards Us During Pride Month, But Where Is This Movement Heading?

Anyone paying attention has probably noticed the deluge of rainbows as corporations, the government and the media hail pride month this June and pay homage to the LGBT agenda. The inescapable onslaught inundates Americans regardless of whether they agree with the progressive LGBTQIA+ zeitgeist or hold to biblical values.

Governors hoist pride flags at their state capitols while politicians peddle pride-themed merchandise on their campaign websites. Advertisements champion the LGBT cause and social media profiles transform into rainbow reminders that the corporate world supports the cultural revolution.

Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T’s Twitter accounts all sport rainbow variants of their company logos.

Underneath a rainbow IBM logo on Twitter, the company’s profile says, “Progress begins with #Pride. Be proud and bring your full self to the workplace. Follow along to hear from #ProudIBMers all month long.”

The children’s television program “My Little Pony” brazenly bombarded children with pro-LGBT propaganda, featuring a same-sex couple in a recent episode.

Cartoon Network tweeted support for Pride Month: “We want to wish everyone a HAPPY PRIDE and encourage all of our LGBTQ+ fans to stand proud all year long!”

The NBC News website already has an LGBT-themed section on its site year-round called NBC OUT. A page headlined “#Pride50” contains links to numerous articles and says, “In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall rebellion, in addition to recognizing 30 contemporary change-makers, innovators and rising stars during Pride Month, we are also honoring 20 veterans of the LGBTQ movement.”

Of course this public cheerleading by businesses, media and politicians is not new and will likely continue into the future. But where is this movement ultimately heading?

The insatiable LGBT lobby uses the legal system to advance its cause, waging war against Christians like Colorado baker Jack Philips and Washington florist Barronelle Stutzman who wish to operate their businesses in accord with biblical principles.

The House of Representatives recently passed legislation that “amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to make ‘sexual orientation and gender identity’ protected characteristics under federal anti-discrimination law,” according to the Daily Caller.

Many major businesses threw their support behind the Equality Act.

While the legislation will not make it through the Republican-majority in the Senate, it does offer a frightful foreshadowing of what could be on the horizon. If such legislation ever becomes law, the consequences would likely be catastrophic for Christians and others who share their socially conservative views.

As the conflict continues within the judicial and legislative systems, what will the future hold for this nation, and specifically for those of us who stand upon the veracity of Scripture? Will Christians and others be effectively forced out of entire professions because they won’t compromise? Will they be forced to choose between obeying God and obeying the government?
