Recently various news media personalities have been comparing what has been going on in the Trump Administration with that of the administration of former President Richard M. Nixon. Nixon resigned from office over the Watergate scandal that consumed his second term following his reelection in 1972.
It would appear to the uninformed or low-information observer that what is going on right now with the Trump Administration is far worse. But I’m not talking about any alleged crimes, misconduct, or impeachable offenses on the part of anyone in the Trump Administration. I’m talking about the American news media and their Democrat allies being so out of balance and frenzied in their hatred of President Trump that the media vitriol experienced by President Nixon compared to what Donald Trump is going through wasn’t even close.
The hatred against President Trump far exceeds anything Nixon ever experienced. It has been relentless ever since Trump defeated the most corrupt, dishonest, and despicable politician in American history to ever run for the office of president of the United States. Yes, I’m talking about the former Secretary of State and Democrat Party nominee Hillary Clinton.
She, the anointed one in the eyes of the corrupt news media and her party, was destined to become the first woman president, and to carry on the leftist and extreme liberal agenda favored by the previous occupant of the White House. What none of them expected was an uprising by the American people who are fed up with the same old same old coming out of Washington, D.C.
President Trump has been under a constant and withering barrage of distortions, misrepresentations, exaggerations and lies, and hatred from the corrupt news media and the Democrats ever since he defeated the Democrat standard-bearer last November. Even some RINOs like John McCain have begun to jump on the bandwagon against President Trump, choosing to pursue personal grudges over what’s in the best interest of the country.

What’s best for the country is to undo the eight years of Obama and replace it with Trump’s ‘America First’ agenda. Instead of harboring old grudges, Republicans like McCain need to be doing all they can to help achieve what Trump promised to the American people during his campaign.
When watching the various television media outlets or reading what once were considered ‘newspapers’ but now pass only for supermarket tabloids since Donald Trump’s upset victory, one must almost wear asbestos clothing due to the heat being generated in the reporting.
According to the media it seems that President Trump has broken every law, violated every tradition, ignored and insulted everyone in government, as well as our international allies and adversaries alike, and likely is responsible for killing Cock Robin and starting the great Chicago Fire to boot. President Trump has become the most hated man by those who covet power and control over Americans because he promises to return power to the people.
I don’t know about the rest of the folks out there, but I for one could give a hoot about President Trump’s tax returns. If his tax lawyers found ways to help him legally reduce his tax burden, kudos to them! I certainly don’t want to pay any more taxes than I am legally bound to do.
If President Trump wants to go back on the offensive in the War on Terror and take the fight to ISIS and other terrorist groups, well I’m all for that too. And if he can coax the Russians to get on board in the effort that would be fine with me.
All this talk of “collusion” with the Russians to defeat Hillary Clinton is just a bunch of hooey! Hillary Clinton as a candidate lost the election. That, and the fact that her character flaws doomed her chances with most clear-thinking Americans. She certainly didn’t deserve the presidency. What she deserves is an eight-by-five room in a federal penitentiary.
The American people spoke out loudly last November that they were sick of the political class running our government. Donald Trump may not be a perfect man, but none of us are perfect. But he genuinely wants to fix what ails America and make life better for the everyday American.
The treatment of Donald Trump by his enemies has been far worse than what was done to Nixon. The news media and the Washington elite and career politicians need to understand that if they succeed in removing President Trump from office, “We The People” are going to replace him – and them – with another just like him. The days of the good ole boy Washington network are going to come to an end.
