Martin Luther King Jr.’s “dream” is dying. It’s not dying of old age or fading away because we’ve moved past it. It’s being choked to death slowly with plans to dump it in the bay.
The Klan would love to claim responsibility, but it can’t. It is self-declared “social justice warriors” who are tightening their grip.
The level of stupidity of the American progressive left knows no bounds. The sloppiest drunks will hit bottom and pick themselves up, but social justice warriors defy physics by continually sinking lower.
On Sunday, Black Entertainment Television held its annual awards show, during which an actor on Grey’s Anatomy named Jesse Williams received the “Humanitarian Award.” What did he do to be so honored? Well, he helped (and continues to) perpetuate the lie of “hands up, don’t shoot” in the Michael Brown case, for one.
I don’t know, nor do I care, what else he’s done. Maybe he’s a good actor; maybe he’s just a giant d-bag who caught a break. Whatever his story, he’s a racist moron and a fraud.
In his speech,
This spoiled millionaire actor, son of a black father and white mother, is a victim of “whiteness,” and he told everyone who watched they were too.
In a sense, that is true. Everyone watching, and seemingly Williams himself, are victims – victims of progressive brainwashing through the education system and activism designed to keep people shackled to progressives causes and politicians.
After listening to Williams’ pap, which the mainstream media naturally praised as “powerful,” singer Justin Timberlake tweeted that he was “inspired” by it. Immediately the social justice Gestapo clicked its heels and attacked, accusing Timberlake of “cultural appropriation,” or “stealing” black culture because of the music he makes.
After the blitzkrieg, Timberlake did what all spineless liberal do – he apologized. “I forget this forum sometimes... I was truly inspired by ?@iJesseWilliams speech because I really do feel that we are all one... A human race.”
Timberlake should have apologized – for not realizing “we’re all one” is not at all what social justice warriors believe, not by a long shot. It’s not even a matter of race. It’s a leftist “someone else is responsible for what minorities do” victimhood mentality designed to absolve individuals from the consequences of their choices.
“You didn’t end up in jail because you sold heroin; it’s because the system screwed you.” “You aren’t unemployable because of your neck tattoos and inability to string together a coherent sentence; ‘The Man’ is keeping you down.”
Progressives know education is key to success in life, but they choose not to focus on the “three Rs.” Instead, they inundate schools with victim studies, of which the only practical application in the real world is to infect others. They’re weaponizing the poor through “education” in order to create more grist for their powder mill.
They’re actively encouraging people away from the tools of success toward a life of failure and dependency … yet society is the problem?
In addition to the racist speech from Williams, Black Entertainment Television President Debra Lee gave a speech in support of gun control, citing the Orlando terrorist attack without mentioning it was terrorism. It was a gun that walked into that club, a gun that hates gay people. While celebrating the Democrats’ sit-in publicity stunt, she said, “We are tired of the devastating effects gun violence has on our community.” Again, it was the gun’s fault; not who pulls the trigger.
Without any self-awareness, Lee’s event rolled on and included a performance featuring someone named “Young Thug.” As if the name and face tattoos weren’t a giveaway, this performer at an event at which guns were blamed for shootings was arrested last year for…wait for it…felony gun possession. Sure, he was also arrested for felony cocaine and marijuana possession, but nobody’s perfect. (That’s just the tip of the iceberg, by the way.)
So the BET Awards were a condemnation of guns and celebration of people who’ve been arrested for illegally possessing them … a racist rant and then attacks on people who were moved by it because they are the wrong color.
Didn’t we banish this mentality in 1945? Haven’t we long relegated it to the fringes of society? Well, it’s back and it’s celebrated. “Cultural appropriation” is a term used by stupid people to keep dumb people from realizing they’re being led down the drain of life. But using it gives social justice warriors a catchall to comfort themselves on how their $150,000 ethnic studies degree didn’t lead to a job where they can support themselves.
The “new civil rights movement” is goose-stepping backwards, stomping on Martin Luther King Jr.’s grave as they do it. Meanwhile, loyalty to progressive politicians by this unthinking mob has never been greater, ushering in more of what has trapped generations in poverty and ignorance. In other words, as people’s lives become worse, as murder rates rises and bodies pile up, their plan is working exactly as it was designed.
