We all know what an act of Islamic terrorism is - except for our lame duck-in-chief, that is.
Now the Canadians know it, too.
On Wednesday one of their fellow citizens who had just converted to Islam and wanted to go overseas and join ISIS donned a dark jacket and an "Arabic scarf" and attacked their Parliament.
He - the suicidal terrorist -- shot one unarmed ceremonial guard to death.
But before he could hurt anyone else he was killed in an exchange of gunfire by Kevin Vickers, the Parliament's brave Sergeant-at-Arms.

President Obama won't use the word "terror" to describe acts of Islamic terrorism for two reasons.
He doesn't want to admit that his global anti-terrorism efforts have failed and he thinks it's politically incorrect to call Islamic terrorism exactly what it is -- "terrorism."
Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper wasn't afraid to immediately call what happened Wednesdayan act of terror.
But our so-called leaders are worried they might offend our peaceful Muslim fellow citizens.
So they pretend that acts of terrorism against the USA and its citizens are being committed not by Islamic extremists but by a random mix of lone-wolf Presbyterians, Baptists and atheists.
Since our government won't profile Islamic terrorists, as Israel does, we have to start doing some basic profiling on our own. It's the only way to defend our families and ourselves.
Here's are a few simple tips I've come up with to guard against becoming a victim of Islamic terrorism:
If your boss suddenly changes his name from Bob to Mohammed and starts quoting from the Koran, it's time to get a new job.
If your next-door neighbor's kids and his pals start flying ISIS flags in their backyard, it's time to get a gun and take shooting lessons.
I've done all that long ago. I have a gun and know how to use it.
I'm not counting on President Obama or anyone in Washington or Sacramento or Los Angeles for protection and neither should you.
Thanks to the Internet, any wacko or "mind-numb robot," as Rush calls them, can be radicalized into a copycat Islamist extremist who's ready to die in an terror attack on us infidels.
It's going to be up to me and you to defend ourselves if ISIS or one of its crazy wannabes shows up at your local mall with rifles and bombs.
I know how unlikely it is that I'll ever come fact-to-face with a terrorist or a criminal of any kind.
But my advice to each of us is, profile or die. That's the choice we're left with.
The government won't profile terrorists for us. It's not willing to perform its basic function - protecting us from those who would do us harm.
I don't care whose feelings I hurt. We have to defend ourselves individually.
When I see someone who looks to me like a likely Islamic extremist, I'm going to be on alert. I'm going to do my own profiling.
Meanwhile, President Obama has a perfect chance to make up for his past foolishness on guns and gun control. He should declare Kevin Vickers a hero and give him the first honorary North American medal of honor.
Vickers' bravery proved that in the real world, where Islamic terrorists live and try to kill innocent people, good men and guns do do good.
What happened in Ottawa also proved that men with ceremonial guns end up dead. And good men with real guns become heroes.
