Gilded Reframe – BBC
- This shifting standard is difficult to keep up with, gang.
Among those outlets steadfastly steering away from the use of the word "terrorism" to describe the attacks on Israel was the BBC. However, the shooting deaths of two Swedish soccer fans in Brussels brought out the immediate use of the dreaded word.
Making this split decision all the more unacceptable is this shooter reportedly said he was "inspired by the Islamic State." So if the basis of the shooter is not the reason for this fluid interpretation, we have to wonder if the victims being Jewish makes the difference.
1,300 Israeli's were slaughtered in a coordinated attack, but the @BBC abjectly refused to call it terrorism.

- It is good to see that some children's deaths are found to be bothersome.
Mehdi Hasan was one of the voices on the network who was taken off of hosting duties after spending days defending the attacks on Jewish families, including the killing of children.
Yet, after a news report of a man in Chicago being behind the killing of a 6-year-old immigrant Palestinian, Hasan was not only outraged, he expressed the kind of contempt for the act that casts his defense of Hamas enacting more barbaric examples into an even more harsh light:
Who wakes up in the morning and thinks, I'm going to kill a kid today? I'm not just gonna kill a kid, I'm going to stab the kid to death. And I'm not just going to stab them once or twice. Stab them 26 times. A six-year-old boy. What kind of hate makes someone do that? It's not hate you're born with, Joy. It's hate you're taught.
Presentation Paradox – THE LATE SHOW
Among the celebrities pushing the vaccine the hardest, you might have Stephen Colbert high on the list. He repeatedly campaigned on behalf of getting the jab, with his Broadway-level choreography routine the cringiest example.

After just one week back on the air, following the end of the writer's strike, Colbert had to revamp his Monday broadcast. After his strike podcast live show was canceled due to fellow pro-vax patriot Jimmy Kimmel getting sick, Colbert contracted COVID for the third time.

First Amendment Strike Force – PUBLIC BROADCASTING SERVICE
One of the more surprising examples of a sober approach to the Israel conflict came from Christiane Amanpour. She has not been a sympathetic voice toward Israel over the years, so when she comes forward to definitively say Hamas is responsible for this conflict it turned some heads.
It also, apparently, turned off the producers at PBS. Her program "Amanpour & Co." is shown on the public broadcaster as well as on CNN International. Some of her comments were actually cut out of the PBS broadcast, while CNN ran her show in its entirety. This is the portion excluded by the network:
And of course, you heard Tzipi Livni and many people saying that the death and destruction of Palestinian people inside Gaza is fully on the shoulders of Hamas.

Both Kinds of Standards – CNN
CNN reports on a kindergarten teacher who was found to have administered some unapproved medication to some of her students, leading to her resigning from her position. The teacher gave a few of her students gummi melatonin samples, and this led to the administration stepping in to discipline the teacher:
A school district investigation found that the teacher “did give out melatonin, acting on her own and without obtaining parent permission. The teacher also did not notify campus administration nor the nurse,” according to Mount. “The teacher’s actions were unacceptable,” Mount said. “We are appalled that the teacher made this decision.”
This is never weighed against the recent years of schools and the media pushing for teachers and schools to have a direct role in the well-being of students, without the involvement of parents, on items such as transgender issues.
