As the rest of his party falls for Chinese propaganda on AI data centers, Democrat John Fetterman remains a lone voice of reason and sanity on his side of the aisle. President Trump laid out a vision for AI and data centers in America, and said — much like the space race — we are competing against China to control the global future of AI. That's a race we must win, and Fetterman doesn't care if it's unpopular in his party.

He's determined for America to beat China, and pointed out the commie country is the one pushing the anti-data center movement through misinformation.

President Donald Trump warned that a growing public backlash to data centers in the US poses an economic threat to communities that oppose new infrastructure needed to power artificial intelligence and risks giving China the upper hand in the AI race.

"The only reason that communities throughout the U.S.A. should not want Data Centers is if they want to end up being backwards and poor," Trump said in a social media post Monday. "If they want to be successful and rich, with far lower taxes and jobs all over the place, let Data Reign."

The president weighed in on an issue that's been forefront in campaigning for the November midterm elections, in which Democrats are pressing affordability issues in a bid to win back majorities in Congress.

Fetterman is correct, of course.

He's a breath of fresh air on the Democrat side of the aisle. If China is spending billions on anti-AI initiatives in the U.S., you know where this is going.

That's the sad part of all of this. Democrats, by and large, have decided opposing President Trump is more important than doing what's right.

Back in April, Townhall hosted a panel that talked about President Trump's AI agenda and his framework for beating China in the AI race. That AI Action Plan has three pillars: innovation, infrastructure, and international diplomacy and security. The White House said the winner of this race will get to "set global AI standards and reap broad economic and military benefits."
