Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made headlines twice over the weekend after she refused to denounce the overtly radical communist streamer Hasan Piker and then rounded out her day by...freezing her eggs on social media.

As the relationship between Piker and the terror-tied Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed continues to flourish, Ocasio-Cortez says that she refuses to turn on communism’s biggest social media star.

“Many of the same consultants that are wringing their hands today were the same ones talking about how we need to go on Joe Rogan and we need to be not so willing to engage in cancel culture,” Ocasio-Cortez told ABC. “Democrats have a responsibility to build a winning coalition, and young people are engaging in mediums and conversations that we have a responsibility to attend to and be responsive to.”

Hasan has become a focal point of the El-Sayed campaign for his blatantly anti-American comments and beliefs. El-Sayed has refused to distance himself from Piker, and claims that Piker’s comments about America deserving 9/11 are “out of context.”

Shortly after she launched a defense of Democrats allying themselves with Piker, Ocasio-Cortez announced that she was beginning the process of freezing her eggs while injecting medication in a social media vlog.

“This is a choice that I am making to feel more in control of my life,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “And if people want to make assumptions about my decision, let them make those assumptions. I feel empowered to make this choice.”

The “empowered” Ocasio-Cortez is 36 years old and has been engaged to her long-time fiance since 2022, after the couple had been dating for a number of years. The choice comes amid speculation that Ocasio-Cortez will launch a bid for the presidency in 2028.
