It's nice to see Tom Tiffany, the Republican running for Wisconsin governor, coming out swinging against Francesca Hong. He hit her twice today, showing how out-of-touch Hong is with Wisconsin voters and how radical her agenda really is.
First, Hong was asked about the New Richmond school district, where a male student has been using the girls' bathroom. Hong was incapable of giving a direct answer.
There was a very pregnant pause before Hong answered.
"I wonder why male reporters get access to women's locker rooms. Why we're more concerned about how people are identifying over the fact that we're not funding our schools enough and we're not protecting our girls from domestic abuse, from sexual abuse, that we aren't investigating," Hong said.
Allowing boys in girls' locker rooms is a form of domestic and sexual abuse, of course.
Hong continued, "That we're fighting to make sure the WNBA players are getting a fair contract and pays as much as their male counterparts, that girls' sports all across the state have the investment and are competitive in places where they feel. These are things we can invest in and make sure everyone feels safe in our schools."
How is that the job of the Wisconsin governor, dictating the terms of WNBA contracts and pay?
That also didn't answer the question, so we'll translate: girls who object to naked boys in their locker rooms are SOL under a Hong administration.
Tiffany hammered her on this.
🚨BREAKING: A mom asked @FrancescaHongWI what she would do about the situation in the New Richmond School District involving a male student using the girls' bathroom.

Instead of giving a direct answer, she launched into a rambling response about how WNBA players should be paid… pic.twitter.com/7uAnNxwJZm
"Instead of giving a direct answer, she launched into a rambling response about how WNBA players should be paid the same as NBA players," he wrote. "She says she wants everyone to be safe, but she voted against the bipartisan law that made child grooming a felony in Wisconsin. As governor, I will sign legislation banning men from women's sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms. It's common sense, and we'll get it done."
Hong also finally addressed her problematic tweets, whining about how Tom Tiffany is "strangely obsessed" with her saying things like "Abolish the Senate," "cancel Thanksgiving," and "abolish prisons."
"It’s because he has no positive vision for our economy and is desperate to distract from what this election is really about: delivering permanent affordability for working people in Wisconsin," Hong wrote.
Tiffany shot back that Hong's agenda is just too radical and laid out his vision.
My vision: Lower taxes, root out fraud, return the surplus, protect our farmland, and keep families safe.

Hong’s vision: Abolish the police, prisons, ICE, the Senate, Thanksgiving, some private businesses, and complain about “too many old white people.”

She is not ready for primetime, and it shows. This is why Democrats don't want her to be the nominee, and it seems like they're going to be stuck with her after Tuesday's primary.
