According to Baldwin's brother, Alec’s political aspirations to be mayor of New York could be "very real."
Billy Baldwin tells Piers Morgan during the interview on CNN:
“I think on one level it’s very real. I think he’s very committed and extremely bright and knowledgeable and I think he could do it and he could run,” Billy Baldwin said. “On the other hand, I’m not quite sure if he’s cut from the proper cloth because it requires a lot of tolerance and a lot of patience and …”When Morgan cut in by noting that Alec Baldwin has a reputation for being “temperamental” and “a bit hot-headed,” his guest quickly jumped to his older brother’s defense.“Let me remind you that John McCain and Rudy Giuliani are quite the same and they are very successful and highly effective politicians,” he said.
In June, Baldwin was accused of punching a Daily News photographer for taking his picture. If anything, I guess we know how he’d handle some hecklers at a town hall meeting.
