Two Encouraging Facts

Here in the northeast, some storm-ravaged Romney supporters have started worrying that the tightening polls may signify an Obama win.

Could be, of course.

But there are two encouraging facts:

(1) Michael Barone -- author of the Almanac of American Politics and one of the best analysts out there -- predicts a sizable Romney victory (http://washingtonexaminer.com/barone-going-out-on-a-limb-romney-wins-handily/article/2512470#.UJQ45oU0yic).

(2) Crowds at the Romney rally in Ohio are enormous. That, in itself, of course is not predictive, but it does signify great enthusiasm, which is key to victory. Here's the pic: https://mobile.twitter.com/dgjackson/status/264528035817070592/photo/1

If the hurricane response -- down to even the fact that it took until today for elites to realize that perhaps hosting the marathon wasn't the best use of porta potties, generators and police power -- has shown us anything, it's that there are truly "two Americas" out there . . .and the elite one has no clue what a lot of ordinary Americans are thinking, feeling and wanting. Keep that in mind this weekend when the MSM starts projecting its wishes and expectations about the election on the rest of us.
