OK, the Democrats ram down our throats a porkapalooza spendulus bill, now they want us to accept CitiBank sponsoring the new Mets stadium in New York?

Democrats Eliot Engel, Joseph Crowley, Yvette Clarke, Gregory Meeks, Anthony Weiner and Steve Israel wrote a letter in which they all say they "strongly disagree" with a letter written by Congressmen Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, and Ted Poe, R-Texas to new (tax cheating) Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner demanding that Citigroup cancel the deal because they received $45 billion in government aid. ESPN reported:
"It is deceitful and unreasonable to single out Citigroup for an agreement signed several years ago," they wrote, "without referencing the many other companies who have stadium naming rights deals and also received federal assistance."
No, what is deceitful is for members of Barack Obama's cabinet to fail to pay taxes and the taxpayers having to pay for the naming of a baseball stadium. How about American Taxpayers Park instead?

Of course, the Office of Tax Cheats otherwise known as the Treasury Department is staying out of it:

"While we have implemented new restrictions on executive compensation and luxury perks, we will not get involved in individual companies' marketing decisions," Treasury spokesman Isaac Baker said Wednesday.

Great, so they won't get involved, right?  Eliot Engel thinks this is just an attack on the Mets...Ted Poe disagrees:

"All companies that came to Washington with their hands out for taxpayer money should have to answer to the taxpayer as well," he said. "This is the consequence of getting in bed with the federal government -- they are going to tell you how to spend your money."

You tell 'em Ted! Too bad players salaries can't be capped too, right Miguel Tejada?
