Palin in Iowa Saturday

Sarah Palin is in Iowa today for a tea party rally and continues to fuel speculation about a 2012 run for president.

Sarah Palin is in the political spotlight again with her scheduled appearance at a tea party rally Saturday in Iowa.

The former Alaska governor hasn't ruled out a run for president in 2012. She's said she expects to announce a decision this fall.

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee has sent few signals in Iowa and other early-voting states that she plans to jump into the race.

But she's making her second appearance in Iowa in the past month this weekend.

She drew crowds at the Iowa State Fair in August just as most of the 2012 GOP contenders were in the state for a debate and a straw poll.

Will she? Or won't she?

Palin is expected to adamantly defend the tea party and take some direct shots at President Obama during the course of her remarks. As Guy reported earlier this week, the tea party has come under heavy fire from the Congressional Black Caucus, where members have told the tea party to "go straight to hell" and that "tea party members want to see us (blacks) hanging from trees." She is expected to speak at 2:15 EST. You can watch the rally here.
