Colorado Governor & N.C. Senate

Republicans are still splitting the ticket in the Colorado governor's race, with Democrat John Hickenlooper bringing in 36 percent of the vote in the latest Rasmussen poll. Republican candidate Dan Maes has 24 percent of the vote, and former Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo, who is running as an American Constitution Party candidate, has 14 percent. The good news is that when you factor in "undecided" voters Hickenlooper's lead drops from from twelve to eight percent. Still, this race is going to be a bummer: Maes suffers from a severe cash disadvantage and Tancredo continues to stubbornly resist calls to drop out.

Meanwhile, incumbent Republican Sen. Richard Burr increased his lead over Democratic challenger Elaine Marshall by three percentage points, from 39-37 to 43-38.
