Pawlenty Urges Obama: Let Govs Participate in Health Care Debate

Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, R, today is urging President Obama to open up the ongoing health care policy discussion in Washington to the country's governors.

In a letter addressed to the president, Pawlenty applauds Obama's  interest in getting Republican feedback, but warns it's just as important to consider governors' "hands-on experience in reforming health care" in the states.  Specifically, Pawlenty notes states' past efforts to reform health care--including Minnesota--through market-oriented initiatives.
