Popcorn Time: John Ziegler vs. Kathleen Parker on Obama, Palin

When one books conservative filmmaker John Ziegler for a television interview, one should be aware that John isn't the type to hold his fire.  So when Ziegler appeared on CNN's Parker-Spitzer program last night, the show's hardy band of viewers was treated to a grand fireworks display, featuring an intense bout of red-on-"red" combat:

JZ: You took part in the targeting of Sarah Palin. You essentially took part in the assassination of Sarah Palin 1.0. That part is dead. She doesn’t exist anymore.

KP: I actually did not take part in it. I lead it. Ok, let’s be clear. Let’s get our facts straight here.

JZ: You lead the assassination. Have you cleaned the blood of your clothes yet.

KP: On September 26, 2008, I said that she was out of her league and I have rested my case so many times that I don’t have to bring that up again.

JZ: So you were duped into that myth as well

KP: I will admit that some people in the media came after her in a vicious, cruel and unfair way. I was not one of them, ok.

JZ: So as an alleged conservative…

KP: Did you come here to attack me? Or do you want me to interview you?

The exchange gets so intense, it's enough to make even a hardened RINO hater squirm.  It might also be the most interesting segment that has ever aired on the show.  Ziegler's film, Media Malpractice, is being re-released nationwide this week.

Ziegler will appear on my radio show this weekend.  We'll talk about the film, the role of the media in the 2010 elections, and this fiery appearance on CNN.
