The NAACP Has Been Busy!

Not only has the NAACP passed a resolution condemning the "bigotry" and "racism" that are apparently so prevalent in the tea party (and apparently so stealth they are only visable to liberal Democrats), but they are eagerly working to expand California's state park system...

Yup, California--the state whose budget deficit is currently busting at the seams.

And the cherry on top?  As the Sacramento Bee reports, the NAACP is working with state lawmakers to make Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch the latest and greatest California state park:
A resolution is in the works to order state parks officials to study converting the roughly 2,600-acre property into a state park. The state NAACP is backing the idea, and a lawmaker has signaled he is on board to carry the legislation.

"I think Michael's history is world history and I think it would become the No. 1 attraction for the state parks if we could pull it off," said state NAACP President Alice Huffman, who also serves on the state Parks Commission.
