I was so excited to think that my late mother and father (and my long-deceased childhood dog, Beau) could vote, and then I realized that they weren't from Virginia . . . and they weren't Democrats (although Beau occasionally displayed something of an entitlement mentality).
Oh, yeah, and dead people (and pets) aren't supposed to be registered to vote.
