Flashback: What This Democrat Said in February Explains the Wuhan Coronavirus Bailout Fiasco

Scores of Americans have lost their savings and retirement funds. Trillions have been removed from the market—and the liberal media couldn’t be happier. We’re dealing with a particularly cruel breed: the American liberal. The ones who love to see American lose, America fail. and America cast into the economic abyss in order to defeat Donald Trump. They want to say, ‘I told you so,’ after being pummeled in the teeth by this administration and rightfully so. They do suck. They’re arrogant. They’re anti-American. They’re people who if you were to seem them drowning, you'd rather pour a drink and watch them die than save them. The same goes for their Democratic allies on the Hill.

Over the weekend, it looked like a bailout was coming. A $2 trillion rescue bill that was bipartisan was coming along and then, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi decided to torpedo that effort and all of a sudden this became a “Republican-only” bill. That’s another thing about the Democrats: they think you’re dumb. Chuck Schumer, you’re on video talking about how this bill is bipartisan. The news came just in time for the Democrat-media complex to take another chunk out of the Dow Jones. This was done to prevent another Trump win. The Democrats see the polls. They see the environment. They have an administration taking an excellent hold of this Wuhan virus crisis, the polls show Americans approve of the Trump White House’s handling of it, they see Democratic governors, like Andrew Cuomo and Gavin Newsom, giving this administration credit, and they have a 2020 nominee in Joe Biden who is AWOL.

It’s not good for the ‘boot Trump’ project, right? So, what to do? Prolong the economic turmoil, peddle the tired talking points about Wall Street. Please! It’s appallingly obvious why this was done. The Democrats are blocking this to avoid giving Trump and the rest of the country a win. The party of the so-called worker told them to go f-themselves yesterday. And it’s no shocker. Backward reels the mind to February where Rep. Mikie Sherill (D-NJ) pretty much confirmed what we have all suspected concerning the Democrats’ insufferable intransigence on the Hill (via Free Beacon):

Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D., N.J.) expressed frustration with her Democratic colleagues at a recent town hall, admitting they block legislation because they "don't want to give the president a win."

Speaking at a Livingston, New Jersey…Sherrill revealed the "shockingly different mindset" of congressional Democrats who prioritize resisting President Donald Trump over passing legislation that could help their constituents.

"When I go, you know, I've gone up to people and said, ‘I need to get this piece of legislation passed,' and they say ‘Oh yeah, we just passed it,'" Sherrill said. "I said, ‘Yeah, we just passed it. I need the Senate to pass it and I need the president to sign it,' and they said ‘Well, we don't want to give the president a win.'"

Now, the exception here is that Senate Democrats had enough votes in the Senate to filibuster, but Pelosi’s bill most certainly wouldn’t have the votes to pass either, so there’s the circle of life right there. And for all the talking points about slush funds, it’s just not grounded in reality. What is grounded in reality is that Pelosi wants some $35 million for the Kennedy Center because that’s what liberals like to do. Draft bills that are supposed to address a national interest and then log roll absolute crap into it. Guy has been following this nonsense on the Hill. I suggest you read his post on it
