ICYMI: Democrat Senator Doesn't Care About 'Little Constitutional Arguments' on Impeachment

House Democrat impeachment managers and attorneys from the White House are making their final, closing arguments from the Senate Monday. On Wednesday, Senators will vote to convict or acquit President Trump of the charges against him. According to reports and statements from a number of Republican Senators, the President will be acquitted in bipartisan fashion.

One Senator, who will certainly vote to convict President Trump, tossed the U.S. Constitution out the window last week and said she "doesn't care" if arguments against conviction are based on the founding document.

Meanwhile it appears the decision not to call new witnesses, after the House turned over an incomplete investigation, came after Senators from both sides of the political aisle had disagreements about how to proceed.

George Washington University constititional law professor Jonathan Turley, who testified in the House impeahcment inquiry, explains why the House case fell apart.
