Texas Gov. Greg Abbott shared a candid moment with President Trump at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, in which the commander in chief embraced him and offered a him a ride back home on Air Force One.
The president immediately came over to Abbott when he saw him, exclaiming, “Oh, my best guy, my best governor! Are you OK? You want to come up with us?” he asked. “I’ll give you a ride back.”
Trump then turned to the crowd behind him, introducing Abbott as “the great governor of Texas, everybody! There’s nobody like him.”
The two exchanged a few words before Trump again asked him if he wanted to come back to the U.S. with him. Abbott politely declined and said he was staying in Davos a few more days.
“We’ve got more deals to do,” Abbott explained, to which Trump replied, “all the deals that we didn’t get!”

“Libs hate it when unbiased videos show how normal and decent Pres Trump actually is. Keep up the good work, Gov, bring new business back home to Texas!!” commented one Twitter user about the moment.
Abbott discussed Texas's economic success at the WEF meeting thanks to its focus on "free markets & innovation."
"At an early meeting of world energy leaders @wef in @Davos I explained that if Texas was its own country we’d be the 4th largest producer of oil in the world. Texas succeeds because our focus is on free markets & innovation. We also lead America in wind power generation," he tweeted.
Trump also spoke at the conference, touting the U.S. economy and recent trade deals.
“Today I’m proud to declare the United States is in the midst of an economic boom, the likes of which the world has never seen before,” he said in his address. “America’s newfound prosperity is undeniable, unprecedented and unmatched anywhere in the world.”
