Over 180,000 Sign Petition Urging Government to Label Antifa a Terrorist Group

A petition hosted on the official WhiteHouse.gov website asking the White House to formally designate "Antifa" as a terrorist organization has been signed by over 180,000 people in just over four days. The text of the petition says that "AntiFa" (sic) qualifies as a terrorist organization due to its propensity towards violence and frequent acts of violence during recent demonstrations.

Terrorism is defined as “the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims”. This definition is the same definition used to declare ISIS and other groups, as terrorist organizations. AntiFa has earned this title due to its violent actions in multiple cities and their influence in the killings of multiple police officers throughout the United States. It is time for the pentagon to be consistent in its actions – and just as they rightfully declared ISIS a terror group, they must declare AntiFa a terror group – on the grounds of principle, integrity, morality, and safety.

Guy wrote this morning about Antifa's antics over the weekend, which included throwing rocks, bottles of urine, and other things at police officers, as well as screaming various racial epithets at the officers. Despite this, the group is still given favorable coverage by the mainstream media.

The White House has to respond to petitions that garner over 100,000 signatures with an official response within 60 days. Given that that this petition has received nearly double that number, it's fair to expect some sort of response from Trump fairly soon.
