Chaffetz: You Know A Lot Of Clinton Staffers Keep Pleading The Fifth For Someone Who Is Clean

The FBI review of 650,000 Clinton-related emails from Hillary’s top aide Huma Abedin is over: nothing new to report. She won’t be indicted on her emails. That ship seems to have sailed, though House Republicans are planning to continue their investigations into Hillary Clinton should she win the presidency tonight. Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, says he plans to do just that. Yes, the usual claims that he’s playing politics will be lobbed, but Chaffetz rehashed an observation while speaking with Fox News’ Bret Baier. If Clinton is innocent, or “clean,” then why do her staffers keep invoking their Fifth Amendment rights? Chaffetz's interview occurred on Sunday (via The Hill):

If she thinks she's clean, then tell everybody around her to go ahead, stop pleading the Fifth, come to Congress, and tell us the truth because the closest people to Hillary Clinton, they keep pleading the Fifth," Chaffetz, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said during a Fox News interview on Sunday.

"Maybe it's time they stop doing that and actually tell the truth to the American people. They haven't done that yet," he added.

Sunday was when the FBI announced that they had finished their review and that their original conclusions in July (no indictment) on Clinton’s email server remained unchanged. Hillary Clinton had an unauthorized and unsecure email server that possibly put our national security in jeopardy. Classified information was found on that server, three of which were classified at the time they were sent or received. Just keep that in mind when you vote today. We have someone who wants to be commander-in-chief, but has a problem following basic government regulations regarding electronic communications and apparently is a tad sloppy in safeguarding state secrets.
