Both Races in Missouri Remain Too Close to Call--What's Next?

Even with 100 percent of precincts reporting, the Associated Press will not yet call the Republican or Democratic races.

The margins, as you can see below, are razor thin in both--less than one-half of 1 percentage point.

Thus, over the coming days the remaining absentee and provisional ballots will be counted, as well as overseas absentee ballots, which will be accepted until Friday. The secretary of state’s office would not disclose exactly how many uncounted ballots remain, according to CNN.

As things currently stand the slim margin of victory in both races meets Missouri law for a recount request if the second place finisher wishes. Cruz’s campaign manager told CNN, however, that they have “no plans” to do so at the moment.
