Newly-elected Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) is sporting a beard these days, making him the first Speaker of the House to do so since 1925--90 years ago.
Per the U.S. House Historian, the last Speaker of the House to sport a beard was Rep. Frederick Huntington Gillett, a Republican from Massachusetts. Gillett served as Speaker of the House from May 1919 until March 1925.

Ryan said the beard was a "hunting beard" that he grew while hunting deer over the weekend. A spokesperson for Ryan said that he will keep the beard for as long as his wife lets him.
What do you think? Yea or nay on the whiskers?
