Dewhurst Campaign Releases "Frozen" Themed Attack Ad

Disney's animated movie Frozen is one of the biggest hits of the year, with fans both young and old constantly belting out the various ballads from the soundtrack--including, apparently, Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst. Yesterday, Dewhurst's campaign released what is being deemed the "strangest attack ad of the year": A music video set to the tune of the song "Let It Go."

Dewhurst is in a runoff election against Dan Patrick for the GOP nomination for the general election. Patrick received 41 percent of the vote in the primary, compared to Dewhurst's 28 percent.

The ad features a picture of Dan Patrick "singing" about how he changed his name to attempt to hide his past bankruptcy filings. It also showcases a variety of old films of Patrick.

Strange or not, it's a catchy ad.
