Speaking to reporters during a joint press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte Tuesday in The Hauge, Netherlands, President Obama said the annexation of Crimea by the Russians isn't a "done deal" because the action doesn't have the approval of the international community. Obama also said Russia's move into Crimea as a sign of weakness, not strength and referred to the worsening situation in Ukraine with the Russians "scuffles."
"Russia is threatening its immediate neighbors not out of strength, but out of weakness," Obama said.
There are currently tens-of-thousands of Russia troops in Crimea and at least one Ukrainian soldier has been shot an killed during the occupation. Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an official declaration annexing Crimea under Russian control.
