The South Carolina Legislature on Wednesday over-rode Gov. Nikki Haley's (R) veto of state spending on the Palmetto State's first-in-the-South presidential primary.

Haley vetoed 34 budget items and the Republican-controlled Legislature then overrode 25 of them, including spending on the primary, according to local news reports.
