PA-8: Absentee Issues

Democrats in a suburban Philadelphia House race remain concerned that problems with absentee ballots are making it harder for their supporters to vote.

We reported yesterday that absentee fraud allegations are marring the closing days of the rematch between Democratic Rep. Patrick Murphy and former Republican Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick. About 8,000 absentee ballots have already been sequestered, and the race could very well end up in court after today.

But a Murphy insider tells us that people who had requested absentee ballots but never cast them are having trouble voting in person. You're allowed to still vote in person after requesting an absentee, so long as you didn't actually submit.
