Rescuers searched frantically for survivors Tuesday after a packed ferry carrying more than 150 people capsized in south Bangladesh.

The ferry sank in the Meghna river after it collided with another vehicle early Tuesday morning. It was traveling to Dhaka, the nation's capital, from Shariatpur district.
