Colorado: Last grab at nailing last votes

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.
Democrats are down to profiling female voters by age, religion and ZIP code, while Republicans are squeezing votes by the mere dozens from friendly coffee shops on the Eastern Plains.

The last-gasp scraping of every possible vote by both candidates in Colorado's U.S. Senate race matches sophisticated computer technology with old-fashioned door knocking. Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet sends Latino lieutenants to hang signs in restaurants on Santa Fe Drive in metro Denver, while Republican Ken Buck glad-hands Washington County commissioners and dotes on shoulder-sitting toddlers on the Eastern Plains.

"I can see that race coming down to margins of hundreds of votes," said Colorado State University political science professor Kyle Saunders.
