Christie Says Obama 'Failing' But Could Learn From His Example

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) says President Obama could learn some things from his recent sit-downs with state Democrats to craft a workable bipartisan deficit-reduction bill, which Christie is expected to sign into law Tuesday.

Citing his own successful legislation -- a benefits-slashing bill endorsed by both Democratic leaders of the New Jersey Legislature -- Christie admonished Obama’s failure to “get his hands dirty” in the ongoing budget talks, and said, “The president is the person in charge. He's the one to force consensus and make concessions the Republicans will believe they can count on.
