WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama raised a combined $86 million for his re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee in the second quarter, outpacing Republican fund-raising leader Mitt Romney and likely bringing in more than all GOP challengers combined.

The total included about $47 million for the Obama 2012 campaign and about $38 million for a DNC "victory" fund.
