Rethinking Trump 2024

I couldn't care less whether it’s DeSantis or Trump in 2024. Voting for either of these guys over Joe Biden is easy. It’s the more comprehensive picture I'm worried about, since the 2024 Senate map is remarkably favorable to Republicans. Given our side’s checkered past in messaging properly, I’m not confident they could adequately respond to the media onslaught, thanks to a nominee under multiple indictments. I’m still queasy that we’re on the verge of witnessing multiple public relations trainwrecks. Yet, unless something seismic occurs during this month’s debate, Donald Trump will be the 2024 nominee.

For the DeSantis folks, you underestimated the strength of Trump’s grip on the base. And yes, with every indictment, it’s an in-kind contribution to his primary campaign by the Democrats, though this one is by design. I’m sure the media didn’t expect the FBI to release its FD-1023 report from their confidential human source that alleged a massive Biden bribery operation from Ukraine.

The Left also probably didn’t expect the IRS whistleblowers to be credible, driving House Democrats into fits during their testimony before Congress. IRS agents Joseph Ziegler and Gary Shapley both alleged that their investigations into Hunter Biden were hamstrung by the Justice Department, which went so far as to block charges against the president’s son. According to Shapley, once the laptop was authenticated, the pass blocking had to occur since some of the roads lead to the White House.

And now Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s former associate, is spilling more details that corroborate the longstanding allegations surrounding these sleazy government access deals. Archer’s testimony even nuked the narrative that Joe Biden never attended a business dinner with Burisma executives. That allegation was vociferously denied by the Biden campaign in 2020. Shocker—it turned out to be a lie. The “Biden brand” was sold worldwide, with what Archer claimed was the illusion of access while admitting it was an abuse of soft power.

The 170-plus suspicious activity reports (SAR) also should raise red flags. And if the Bidens were Republicans—they would. Just two SAR reports blocks most from opening a new bank account. The point is that, even if Trump is indicted again in the Georgia election interference case, which is now a RICO probe, it’s likely, the legal drama no longer matters to a certain degree.

Trump might be facing some trial dates in 2024, though his lawyers are trying to delay as much as possible, but Biden could be facing impeachment hearings. There’s too much evidence for the media to ignore Biden's bribery scandal. More details are bound the emerge, but congressional Republicans must keep up the pressure despite the legal circus that’s engulfing Trump right now. And it’s really up to Republicans if they want to pull the trigger on impeachment. We're finished if we take the high road and don’t go down this road over ‘tit-for-tat’ reservations. There’s already enough here to start inquiries.

If this is a rematch, then so be it. But let’s throw some haymakers at the other side. If they want to bloody us, we should deliver it right back. There should be no reservations, but I’m sure congressional Republicans will find some way to escape the fight.
