DNC PR Firm – Democratic National Committee

  • This could be the last Nerd Prom!

This weekend is the annual gathering of journalists and those they are desperate to be seen with, the White House Correspondents Dinner. Colin Jost from "Saturday Night Live" will be the host speaker, but according to the DNC, we run the risk of this being the last one – ever!

According to Alex Floyd, Rapid Response Director for the Democrats, should Donald Trump regain the White House, it could lead to the end of the annual affair. Floyd does not explain how or why it may happen, and he even disqualifies his own claim by noting that during the Trump years, there were WHCA dinners taking place.

The real humor is how this is positioned as an attempt to curry the journalism votes – a group that has shown to already be dedicated to the Biden cause.

Legalized Press-titution – WHITE HOUSE PRESS OFFICE

  • The internal battle may be resting on DEI.

The New York Post's White House correspondent Steven Nelson delivers the story of backroom maneuvers made attempting to have Karine Jean-Pierre coaxed into stepping down from her post as press secretary. They were greatly displeased with her performance, but the problem became her resistance to the idea.

It is said the idea was to convince KJP to step down because actively removing her would be a bad look for all involved:

'There’s a huge diversity issue and they’re afraid of what folks are going to say,' added this source, who said they learned of the effort from multiple people briefed by Dunn and confirmed at least one person from outside the administration did speak with Jean-Pierre.

Reporting on the Mirror – THE ONION

Word came out that G/O Media had decided to dump another one of the publications in its stable. The announcement was that it was selling off the satire outlet The Onion. A new outfit called Global Tetrahedron made the purchase, named after a running gag from the book published by The Onion, "Our Dumb Century."

One of the partners in this new venture is Ben Collins, the disgraced former journalist from NBC News.

Blue-Anon – WASHINGTON POST

  • Missing the point in the attempt at making a point.

Taking the position of the journalists who support the campus protesters, Washington Post columnist Shadi Hamid is displeased with the way many of these activist students are being portrayed. That is to say, he is upset they are featured accurately using their words, and that is leading to the authorities being called in to clear out the illegal activities on campuses.

Hamid feels he has struck a chord by challenging those who support the police being called in, suggesting that if the roles were versed and it was pro-Israel students, these people would feel differently.

Of course, he has been mocked fiercely because many have pointed out that it is not the protesting but the law-breaking and the calling to exterminate a group that is the problem. He also misses the point that his position, as a result, is pro-Hamas terrorism.

Both Kinds of Standards – NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO

It is a remarkable dose of delusion to see NPR's David Folkenflik coming forward to describe how unacceptable it had been for the National Enquirer to engage in the practice of spiking news items that could have damaged the public character of Donald Trump in order to aid his campaign.

That would be the same Folkenflik who helped his outlet explain to listeners and readers how they would refuse to investigate the Hunter Biden laptop story, ultimately, aiding the Joe Biden campaign.
