For a man who wrote a book entitled A Higher Loyalty, former FBI director James Comey is sure to jump ship on his pals pretty quickly. Less than a week after demanding that American voters support Democratic candidates, lest they want to be seen as Anti-American, Comey now orders that the Democratic Party not embrace socialism, despite all signs that the party is steering to the far left.
As reported by Fox News, Comey tweeted today, "Democrats, please, please don’t lose your minds and rush to the socialist left. This president and his Republican Party are counting on you to do exactly that. America’s great middle wants sensible, balanced, ethical leadership."

But on July 17th, "the tall publicity seeking FBI agent," as the legendary Conrad Black describes in his new book, ordered Americans to shun the GOP and vote for Democratic politicians. "This Republican Congress has proven incapable of fulfilling the Founders’ design that 'Ambition must ... counteract ambition.' All who believe in this country’s values must vote for Democrats this fall. Policy differences don’t matter right now. History has its eyes on us," Comey tweeted.

Well, as of today, it turns out policy differences do matter. And the policies he sees from Democrats are not something he wants to be a part of. New York Congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) have touted what they call "democratic socialism" as the future of the Democratic Party in recent weeks. Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez endorsed this message as well. Again, what separates democratic socialism, from plain, run of the mill, failed socialism has yet to be announced. But, it looks like Comey must have thought the Democratic party stood for something else.
Who knows what caused Comey's change of heart. Perhaps James Comey received his latest check for that book he wrote and realized if the Democrats took over, his money would be redistributed amongst the masses under the guise of this newfangled socialism. More likely Comey, for some reason, sees himself as the moral conscience of America. Maybe he is prepping a run for the presidency because he thinks he has the "sensible, balanced, ethical leadership" that the so-called great American middle wants. Whatever the case, as previously mentioned, Comey seems to be jumping ship on all fronts. And as the old saying goes, when they think the ship is about to sink, the rats are the first to jump.
