GOP Congressional candidate Jimmy Crumpacker released an ad in solidarity with President Trump, in the middle of the Wuhan coronavirus epidemic facing the nation.
I'm a gun-packing, Trump-backing, send-them-packing conservative - Oregonians deserve a voice in D.C. who will stand tall for our values and not concede anything to the radical socialists. RT our new ad to help share our message today. pic.twitter.com/HL8gfzerFC

I will always stand with President Trump to defend our values, continue growing our economy and fight for the forgotten people of Oregon’s 2nd District. pic.twitter.com/mWqJpi6opJ

A seventh-generation Oregonian, Crumpacker is running in the Republican primary to replace current incumbent Greg Walden (R,OR-02), who announced his retirement. Crumpacker, like President Trump, is a political outsider and businessman. Since President Trump's upset victory in 2016, an increasing number of non-career politicians are seeking office; these candidates can relate to real Americans outside of Washington, D.C.
Today I'm announcing my campaign to serve in Congress for the good people of Oregon’s 2nd District. I’m a conservative & a businessman, not a politician. I'll stand with President Trump, protect our Oregon way of life, and grow the economy. Join our team: https://t.co/jXMXOd6QEJ pic.twitter.com/YSMNs9i5Sk

Walden won the seat comfortably in 2018, with 56 percent of the vote. FiveThirtyEight still categorizes the seat as a solid GOP hold; President Trump carried the second congressional district in 2016. The primary for Oregon’s second congressional district is set to take place on May 19.
