McCains 'Softer' Stance on Social Issues

"McCain Won't Fight Platform on Abortion, Gays" is the title of this story from the Washington Times today.

It basically says McCain will not work against constitutional bans on gay marriage and abortion, but will seek to "soften" the GOP's stance on those issues.
