Kagan's Take On Abortion Memos Key To Witness Testimony This Evening

Kagan has switched her stories three different times on whether she authored the controversial abortion memo in which she expressed her affinity for partial-birth abortion. First, she said she the thing was "certainly in my handwriting," and then said that she was was writing something down that someone else was saying over the phone — in other words, it wasn't her actual opinion. Then, under questioning from Sen. Orrin Hatch, she admitted that she did write it.

Look for Americans United For Life's President and CEO, Charmaine Yoest, to give her the once-over on that during tonight's witness testimonies. Yoest is one in a lineup of minority witnesses that include Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, Ed Whelan of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, and Robert Alt, a senior fellow at The Heritage Foundation. There is a long list of majority witnesses as well, who will undoubtedly sing her praises.
